About Shoppe & Tailor Studios
Queer-owned and operated, Shoppe & Tailor Studios maintains a safer space for all.
Founded in 2014, Shoppe & Tailor’s core ethos is to offer possibilities. We encourage the growth of local fashion & artistry, and foster learning the sustainable skilled trade of sewing.
We’re here for the community. We provide you with the creative playground—the space and equipment to create anything you can dream up with the instructional guidance for smooth success. Come for the inspirational learning—stay for the vibes.
As an alternative to contemporary society’s disposable fashion practices, we teach workshops on mending, tailoring and upcycling your existing clothes to fit any body.
Our studio always encourages low-waste practices, from our textile sorting scrap bins & scrap paper to our communal thread wall & supply swap events.
If you’re looking for a welcoming place rooted in sustainability, with welcoming vibes and a supportive community, this is the spot for you!
