Shoppe & Tailor Studios is in Toronto, Ontario!

We’re located at 163 Sterling Rd, unit 167. Our building is located across the street from the MOCCA Gallery.

Accessibility: Our building and studio is accessible! The front doors are not automatic however. We are available by phone and can let you into the building if you are outside. The phone # can be found in your booking confirmation emails.

There are several parking options on Sterling Rd.
3 PAID lots: at Terroni, MOCCA underground and a gravel lot next door.
FREE parking can be found on the street, and in the parking lot of 163 Sterling.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT 163 STERLING LOT: THIS LOT TRIPPLE PARKS CARS! ALL VISITORS MUST LEAVE THEIR PHONE # ON THE DASH SO THE CAR PARKED INFRONT CAN ASK YOU TO MOVE.

We do not allow pets.

Our studio is not safe for your pets due to the dangers of stray needles/pins, loose threads, and heavy machinery. We have a shop pug, Vinny, who is our only pet allowed. He is very friendly and loves attention.

No, we do not offer tailoring, alterations, or bridal tailoring services.‍ ‍

For expert tailoring and alteration services we recommend Michael Zoffranieri, who is located in our same studio.

We also offer various Gift Packages so you can treat the sewist in your life with, private lessons and workshops.

We require payment upon booking for all lessons and workshops.

Our online payment platform accepts all major credit cards.

If you wish to pay by e-transfer or cash, please email info@shoppeandtailor.com to arrange payment.

Bookings are reserved once payment has been made.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:

Rescheduling:
In advance of the minimum cancelation window, you can reschedule your booking via the confirmation email.
At the bottom of the email click “change/reschedule” to select a new time 48 hours/ 14 days before your scheduled appointment time.
Or by logging into your account in the “Check My Balance” page.

Appointment Cancellations:
Courses of 3 weeks or less require a 48-hour cancellation notice. Late cancellations are non-refundable and can not be rescheduled, but you will receive a 20% off coupon for your next booking!
Courses of 4 weeks or more require a 12-day cancellation notice. Late cancellations are non-refundable or subject store credit, and can not be rescheduled. You will receive a 20% off coupon for your next booking!

You can add up to 3 additonal guests to your lesson booking at check out! Each additional guest is discounted.

When selecting a new lesson time, click “add-on an extra person” during the checkout process to add a buddy to your rental time for an extra fee.

You and your guests can work on your own independent projects, or a project together during your lesson time.

For group lessons on 5 or more people please email info@shoppenadtailor.com to arrange a date, time and project.

Shoppe & Tailor Studios is a fully-equipped studio with professional and domestic machines, check out the full range of what we offer on our Amenities page.

We supply the sewing machine, tools, thread and scrap fabrics.

Please bring your own fabrics and notions, or garments for alterations!

You can bring your sewing machine, tools or serger If you’d like to learn using your own equipment.

We do not provide notions, fabric, or materials.

Please bring all the materials you need for your projects with you!

We have fabric scrap recycling bins that you are welcome to dig through if you need “a little somethin’-something”..

Shoppe & Tailor Studios prides itself for being a safe, welcoming space for everyone. It is our belief that a strong community is diverse, inclusive and equitable to all.

Depending on the severity, you may be given a verbal warning by the staff. Verbal warnings may escalate to removal from premises.

If you are asked to leave because you have violated our studio policy & terms of service, you will not be refunded for your lesson/workshop.
