Introduction to basic tailoring, alterations, and repairs.

This is a 2-hour stand-alone class that introduces students to the setup and basic operations of a domestic sewing machine, domestic serging machine, and basic hand stitching techniques. 

Students will supply 2-3 pieces of their own clothing for tailoring using simple techniques such as hemming, small repairs, and side seam adjustments. The goal of this class is to leave students feeling empowered and confident in taking on new projects, looking good and feeling good in keeping their clothes out of landfill and lasting longer
